Flensted Butterflies Mobile

These Flensted mobiles are produced in Denmark by a family run business that has been designing mobiles since 1954. Founded by Christian Flensted and his wife Grethe, the family business is still based in Denmark, on the island of Funen where Hans Christian Anderson was born.

Flensted Mobiles are created so that the elements are in constant motion while the entire mobile maintains a harmonic balance.

Each mobile is carefully assembled, and balanced by skillful hands by artisans from their own homes and then collectedly twice a month by the company car. This practice has been in use for more than 30 years in which the process allows employees to work from home and leave less carbon footprint on the planet.

This bright and colouful mobile in clear transparent colors of red, green, blue, orange and yellow, projects the most beautiful and colourful shadows when hung close to a window (and sunlight passes). The cleaver engineering of this mobile mean that even the faintest current of air will cause the mobile to rotate, creating an ever changing visual impact and a gentle sense of movement.
